About the Author
Don Knowles has been writing automotive training materials for over 28 years, with 54 textbooks to his credit, as well as student manuals, training CDs, and short articles for service bulletins. He was previously employed as an automotive instructor at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) Palliser Campus, where he produced over 60 automotive training videos and wrote a computer-assisted instruction (CAI) program to coordinate with each video. Mr. Knowles is currently the owner and manager of Knowles Automotive Training, a company focused exclusively on the preparation of automotive training materials and an educational member of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). An ASE certified Automotive Technician, he has also been a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers for over 30 years, and is a member of the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT).

Good Book

It was pretty good. It didn't feel super up - to -date but I took all of the tests and passed them all on the first try. I'm now a Master Tech.

flimsy

very poorly made.. the sheets started coming loose the first time. I bought a different tittle from the same people.. same thing happened. As far as the content this particular tittle summarizes each section as opposed to the ones for an specific test..
I prefer the ones for specific tests but if you're going to take many tests and already have some knowledge this is not too bad, except for the quality.

Hint: dont buy this book

didn't like the way the book is structure some of the illustrations are not clear some times the acronyms are generic or not correct. Some of the information is kind of outdated about computer adaptive values being lost if the battery is disconnected. I'm studying for a recert think I used the motorage book last time and passed all test first time.
