This book changed my thinking about grammar and teaching it!

This wonderful book definitely changed my way of thinking, all for the best reasons. Robb clearly shows that the only way to teach grammar is to choose those parts of speech that clearly support writing: teach strong verbs and specific nouns; teach prepositional phrases to vary sentence beginnings and add details to short, general sentences. Robb shows how to involve students in thinking about grammar this way and also points out the students' improvement when they apply these grammar understandings to their own writing. I said farewell to worksheets long ago, for I realized there was no transfer to students' writing. I'm on board and enjoying teaching grammar with this book as my guide!

Laura Robb has Done It Again! Rave Reviews for Grammer Lessons & Strategies

Robb has totally changed the way grammar is taught with this book. Instead of giving students worksheets that research and teaching experience clearly shows doesn't work, Robb shows teachers how to help students understand how strong verbs, specific nouns, and subordinating conjunctions can improve their writing. The key, though, is to have students revise THEIR writing using these excellent principles. Finally, something practical and thought-provoking that works!

Not enough!

I was hoping to find a book that would aid me in teching grammar in my 6th grade classroom. Instead, I found a book that was not user friendly and did not offer many reproducible pages. Many of these lessons were not exciting and I did not feel that my students would have been excitied to learn about any of the concepts covered using the prescribed lessons. I was even bored reading it! This book is now collecting dust on my bookshelf.

Enjoyable, quick, smutty read

If you're looking for a long, drawn-out novel, then this isn't the book for you. But if you're more like me, and have to take your reading in small chunks of time, then this book is excellent. Anyone should be able to read in within a half hour, and for your time you'll get a steamy hot erotic story. The POV is from the female, which is good since it'd take to much space within a short story to explore both POVs. I'd recommend for anyone who wants erotic stories to be short, sweet, but completely satisfying. As stated in the description, this story does feature some exhibitionism, and people who enjoy that should like this story even more.

Worth the extra money--this edition is even better than her earlier works

I teach graphic design courses at a local community college and this updated edition is well worth the extra $2 (from the previous edition). It still provides easy to understand examples of the concepts she covers then explains why these are important. But its updated graphics gives it a much more professional yet friendly feel and she cut back on cuteness that seemed to diminish the level of knowledge within it.

I learned oodles from this book

If you need to do graphic design and are not professionally trained, buy this book and read it. It was a fast, easy read with lots of before/after pictures to illustrate applying the principles she teaches. My own work has improved dramatically after doing this work. I was a competent amateur, but now what I'm producing looks better, and I have the words to explain how and why it is better. This book was worth every penny, and it's not particularly expensive to begin with.

Lots of new material added

Great to see an update of this book. The first edition really helped me learn and understand the principles of graphic design. If you work through this book, and apply the design principles to your work, you will definitely learn something about graphic design. Robin Williams also adds a lot of new material to the fourth edition, so you're not really buying the same book again. I'm looking forward to working though this edition as well.

Great book....ONLY if you love hosted and don't want an on-prem deployment

Been using CRM since 3.0. i swore by this series until now. The book is written primarily from the perspective of, and for the benefit of hosted version users. The book and the writer make the ignorant assumption that everyone loves everything cloud (and the latency that comes with having a key LOB platform at the other end of an Internet connection, rather than on a GB LAN), and wastes a LOT of time and pages talking about features and services that those who still prefer on-prem can't ever enjoy. This creates confusion since it sends you looking for stuff you'll never find, and creates animosity and resentment against Microsoft for not offering their on-prem customers comparable functionality. If you are drinking the MS Kool Aid that they can be trusted with your data, and you are willing to concede the performance of an on-prem deployment for the convenience of hosted, then this is a great book because it still covers a lot. But as a comitted on-prem user, I was VERY disappointed after buying the last several versions of this book.

Based on previous editions/versions of this book, I bought 12 copies of this book to give to my team and received them today.

It looks like Marc did a thorough job covering everything that CRM has to offer, and included both the technical limitations related to on premises integration which is key to our systems work.

I wouldn't recommend this book for a beginner, but then I wouldn't recommend CRM for a beginner either.

I am in love with the guys of Assured Distraction! A surprisingly sweet love story set in the world of hard rockers. As a fan of small venue concerts with bands just like Assured Distraction, I found the behind the scenes info facinating! I can not wait for the next book!!

Rocked it!!

A wonderful debut book by Thia!! Loved it!! This story has all that a rockstar romance should, with lots of band drama, skank issues, venue problems, crazy times on the tour bus and especially all the hot rockstar lovin'! I was hooked at the prologue...young love being sideswiped and detoured by life's unexpected hurdles...then the story picks up years later with the super sweet and extremely talented Chandler, who's finds herself in the middle of a whole new life and a whole ton of heart squeezing happenings. I really loved her innocence and strength...pushing herself to try out for the keyboard position in an all male rock band and then overcoming a major tragedy, only to discover a ton of love waiting for her in the silver lining of her black rain cloud. I loved the teasing funny banter between the band mates and then the way they all pull together like a family when Chan needs them the most...Quite a few moments had me all choked up! So good!
Let's not forget the insanely hot and sexy KeeMac!! He goes from rude douche to thee best rockin' boyfriend Chan could ever want! I loved all the excitement and anticipation in this story and I really loved all the steamy hot lust-to-love romance between Chandler and Keeton. A touching and sexy must read... I can't wait for book two!
